Former UCB Family Epilepsy Scholarship Winners, Where Are They Now?

Navigating life with a chronic medical issue like epilepsy—whether you are the patient or caregiver—can be full of challenges, but achieving your dreams shouldn’t be among them. Since 2005, UCB has been sponsoring a scholarship designed to assist those living with epilepsy achieve their goals of attending higher education. The program is open to the epilepsy community including patients, their immediate family members, and caregivers. The scholarship may be used for any full- or part-time studies beyond high school, including community or four-year college, trade school, graduate school, and online degrees.

Now the longest-running pharma-sponsored epilepsy scholarship program, UCB has awarded over $3 million to more than 600 inspiring winners. Our scholarship winners are a diverse group of patients, family members, and caregivers who demonstrate academic ambition and personal achievement, who also serve as positive role models for others. They are the future of the epilepsy community.

See below to learn about how receiving this scholarship helped put some of our courageous, resilient, and persevering scholarship winners on their paths to success.
